As part of the process of configure OBIEE as Windows
Service, the environment variable BI_ORACLE_HOME has to be created.
However, if Oracle DAC is running in the same server,
the next time that DAC is opened, no images or icons will be shown.
Solution
– Stop DAC server
– Open the config.bat file located in
<<DAC_HOME>>\\dac and add a new entry at the beginning of the
file like this
set BI_ORACLE_HOME=<<DAC_HOME>>
The location D:\apps\11gDACconsole must
be replaced with your own location
– Start DAC server again and open the DAC client.
