Review the Environment Variables:-
Configure the environment variables to work with the Informatica
installation.
The following table describes
environment variables to review on Windows:
Variable Description:-
ü %TEMP%
:- Location
of the temporary files created during installation. Informatica requires 1GB
disk space for temporary files.Configure the environment variable if you do not
want to create temporary files in the default drive.
ü PATH:- Verify that the PATH environment variables do not
contain earlier versions of Informatica.
ü Library
path :-Verify that the library path
environment variables do not contain earlier versions of Informatica.
ü INFA_HOME :- Contains the location of the Informatica
installation directory. Clear this variable before you start the upgrade.
ü INFA_DOMAINS_FILE
:- Contains the location of the
domains.infa file. Clear this variable before you start the upgrade.
Before Upgarde checks:-

Create a backup of all DB
schemas [POW_DOM,POW_REP]
·
Stop the scheduling
·
Backup of informatica repository
·
Domain Backup of 9.1.0
·
Infa 9.1.0 User
exporting
Domain Backup of 9.1.0:
infasetup BackupDomain -da dbhostname :port -du POW_DOM -dp XXXXX -dt oracle -ds servicename -bf domainbkpr2006 -dn Domainname -ts schema
.rep file will be stored in infashared, backup directory
